Liane Enkelis
The photographs on this web site were chosen to show you the expertise, attention to detail and caring that I bring when photographing your corporate team or customers. I was based in the San Francisco Bay Area for 25 years and am now in the Greater Los Angeles area. However I can travel worldwide to meet your location photography needs.

When photographing people on location or in my studio, my communications background which includes
15 years working exclusively in editorial photography, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in journalism, and my experience with publishing projects gives me a problem-solving and storytelling approach to your photographic communications. I like to weave narrative and drama into corporate projects with portraits that capture the personalities of your corporate team. My photographs will bring a spontaneous and evocative quality to your annual reports, corporate brochures and publications, and advertising campaigns.

Editorial clients include Business Week, Islands, Forbes, Electronic Business Today, Smithsonian Magazine, U. S. News &World Report, New York Times Sunday Magazine, Black Enterprise, Time, and special publications of the National Geographic Society. My cover photo credits include Business Week, Americana, Geographic World, Electronic Business Today, Technology Review and Islands.

In 1986, I photographed the election of Philippine President Corazon Aquino and the fall of Ferdinand Marcos for U. S. News & World Report.

Brochure, customer and employee publications, and annual report clients include Ampex, American Protective Services, Applied Materials, Bank of America, Bank of
Netschools Advertisement the West, CheckPoint Software, Excite, Hewlett-Packard, NetSchools, Permanente Medical Group, 3WARE,Townsend & Townsend Attorneys, the San Jose National Bank, Simplex Solutions, Shasta Networks/Nortel Networks, Varian, and WYSE Technology.

I initiated, co-authored and photographed a book, On Our Own Terms: Portraits of Women Business Leaders(Berrett-Koehler Publishers). This profiles 15 business women across the USA who lead corporations with annual revenues of $10 million or more. The purpose of
this book is to portray these women role-models as real human beings, showing them in both their personal and work environments, through both intimate black-and-white portraits and extensive in depth interviews.

My latest project is the book, On Being 100 (Prima Publishing, ISBN 0-7615-2828-8), featuring portraits and interviews with thirty-one inspiring individuals born in 1900 or earlier. While mesmerized by these centenarian faces, I was deeply moved by their stories which show the strength of the human spirit. I feel grateful to be able to record and share their stories of World War I, the Great San Francisco Earth Quake, Native American Lore and the settling of Oklahoma, the Holocaust, and the internment of the Japanese-Americans, and the effects of "Jim Crow."
